1. Use LOTS of adjectives!
2. Add action and extra details, while no good in non - fiction, it is wonderful for building suspense, getting to know characters, and lengthening your story! But don't get to boring!
3. Create an interesting beginning that sets the tone of the story, get your readers hooked!
4. Express the theme, (main point) of the story slowly throughout the story, don't tell the reader everything right away!
5. Almost every story has a problem.... what is your main characters???
6. Characters make a story, make sure to add interesting characters, with interesting traits! Your main character should have flaws or weaknesses, a perfect character is boring!!!
7. At the beginning of the story, jump right into the action, and at the end, wrap up the story quickly!
8. Setting is a big part of the story. Where does your story take place? Ancient times? The grocery store? A post-apocalyptic future? Decide on something interesting or relatable!
9. Dialog is important in fiction stories, have your characters communicate!
10. Ideas for a story can come to you anywhere, make sure to write them down!
